The ninth generation was the last F-Series generation to cover the whole range from the half ton F-150 to the medium duty F-800, and the third generation of the body and chassis introduced for 1980. The front was rounded off in the interest of aerodynamics, the Flareside bed returned, and the interior was updated. The F-150 gave way to the tenth generation for 1997, while the F-250 and F-350 continued to 1997 and 1998. Sales rose from about 500,000 in 1992 to nearly 800,000 in 1996. Each model year has its own page.
