In the interest of aerodynamics the lines of the hood, front fenders and grille were rounded off for 1992, with a larger grille and larger headlights, and the turn signals again moving below them. Inside the interior was updated with a redesigned dashboard and new seats, and extended cab SuperCab models received larger rear side windows. About 500,000 F-Series trucks were sold in 1992, and the Custom trim was offered in this one year only.
