In 2020 the EcoSport was discontinued from Ford's Australia and New Zealand lineup, with the European market Ford Puma serving as its replacement. It was still built in India, Romania and Brazil and sold in Europe, North America and other markets. A facelift for the Indian market was planned but cancelled when production in India was due to end. The EcoSport was a subcompact crossover SUV based on the Fiesta B2E platform, designed at the Ford Brazil Development Center.
