In 2019 Ford Sollers closed their factory in Naberezhnye Chelny, ending production of the EcoSport in Russia. The Australian, Canadian and United States market EcoSports, made in India, had the rear mounted spare tire as optional on the base model. The EcoSport was a subcompact crossover SUV sold in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and South America at this time. It shared its platform with the Fiesta throughout its existence.
