The Del Rey and the Belina wagon were discontinued in 1991 and replaced by the Ford Versailles and Royale, which were based on the Volkswagen Santana and built under the Autolatina association between Ford and Volkswagen. The Del Rey had run for eleven years from 1981. It ran on either petrol or ethanol and was replaced by the Versailles, a Volkswagen Santana based car. The Del Rey was a large family car that Ford built in Brazil, based on the Corcel II and sold under the Belina name as a wagon.
