By 1990 the Del Rey was offered with the CHT 1.6 litre four or the 1.8 litre Volkswagen engine, on petrol or ethanol, with the five speed manual or the optional three speed automatic. It was the oldest Ford model in Brazil, with the Verona already launched as its partial replacement. The Del Rey was a large family car that Ford built in Brazil, based on the Corcel II and sold under the Belina name as a wagon. It ran on either petrol or ethanol and was replaced by the Versailles, a Volkswagen Santana based car.
