Ford Country Squire (fifth generation)

Automobiles

For the 1960 model year, in place of a yearly update, the Ford model line underwent a complete redesign, with full size Fords growing in size and adopting a 119 inch wheelbase. The Galaxie was slotted above the Fairlane as the flagship Ford model range, with the Country Squire becoming its station wagon counterpart. The Country Squire grew five inches wider and five inches longer than its predecessor, and the wood exterior trim returned to the appearance of boat decking. Its model years run from 1960 to 1964.
