Ford ceased production of the C-Max at Saarlouis in Germany in June 2019, ending a car that had run since 2003, first as the Focus C-Max and then as the C-Max and Grand C-Max. It had also been Ford's first hybrid only line in the United States. A longer seven seat version called the Grand C-Max sat above it in the range. The C-Max was a five door compact people carrier that Ford built on the same platform as the Focus.
