The aerodynamics of the C-Max were improved, with a drag coefficient of 0.30 for the five seater and 0.32 for the Grand C-Max. In 2014 the car had a hands free power lift gate, rear view camera, park assist and a panoramic sunroof, and several hybrid and conventional engines. The C-Max was a five door compact people carrier that Ford built on the same platform as the Focus. A longer seven seat version called the Grand C-Max sat above it in the range.
