The 1985 Bronco II kept the carbureted 2.8 liter Cologne V6 of 115 horsepower that was used in the 1984 and 1985 Ranger, and was available only with four wheel drive until the following year. It was a compact SUV derived from the Ranger, nearly a foot shorter than the Chevrolet S 10 Blazer, sold alongside the third and fourth generations of the full size Bronco. It was assembled in Louisville, Kentucky, alongside the Ranger.
