The Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero is an all-electric revival of the 1968 E-Type Series 1.5 roadster that Jaguar unveiled in September 2017. Its 40 kilowatt-hour battery drives an electric motor and gives a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.5 seconds and a range of 168 miles. The battery pack fits the space once taken by the original six-cylinder engine without modification, and the motor replaces the original transmission. In August 2018 Jaguar said it would sell all-electric E-Types from summer 2020, but that plan was halted in 2019.
