Ford Focus Electric

Automobiles

The Ford Focus Electric was a five-door hatchback electric car produced by Ford from December 2011 to May 2018. It was Ford's third production all-electric vehicle after the Ford TH!NK and the Ford Ranger EV, and it used the same body as the gasoline third generation Ford Focus. The first cars carried a 23 kilowatt-hour liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with an EPA range of 76 miles, and the 2017 model a 33.5 kilowatt-hour pack rated at 115 miles. A 107 kilowatt electric motor drove the front wheels to a top speed of 135 kilometres per hour. US cars were built at Michigan Assembly in Wayne, Michigan, and European cars at Saarlouis in Germany from 2013. It won the 2011 Green Car Vision Award.
