The Explorer EV is the all electric small SUV that Ford makes in Cologne for Europe, built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform with a Volkswagen supplied powertrain, as a result of a Ford and Volkswagen partnership. It was revealed in March 2023, had its launch put back to 2024 because of new battery rules, and went into production at Cologne in June 2024. It shares a name and design inspiration with the larger American SUV. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (2024 to 2026).
