The Capri EV is an all electric small SUV with a coupe like shape that Ford makes in Cologne for Europe on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform, with Volkswagen supplied batteries, and it revives the Capri name. It shares body panels with the Explorer EV but sits lower on a stiffer suspension, and it was unveiled on 10 July 2024. Ford says it is a hero nameplate, a modern car rather than a retro one.
