The BMW i Vision Circular is a concept car produced by BMW and introduced to the public at the IAA exhibition in 2021. BMW says it was created to envision what an all-electric compact luxury model from the brand could look like in 2040. Its main priority was to be built from 100 percent recyclable and 100 percent recycled materials, including a solid-state electric battery, and BMW claims to have achieved the recyclability goal and says the concept is close to using entirely recycled materials. The body is made from a mixture of recycled aluminium, steel and plastic, with the aluminium anodised gold instead of painted and the steel heat-treated to turn it blue. The exterior also has a single piece of glass for the windshield and roof, rear-hinged rear doors, and digital graphics on the kidney grilles, which double as the headlights.
