The Chevrolet Bolt is a battery electric subcompact hatchback that Chevrolet introduced in 2016, notable as one of the first affordable mass market electric cars to offer a driving range of roughly two hundred miles on a single charge, ahead of many competitors of similar price. General Motors positioned it as a more mainstream, everyday counterpart to its earlier limited range Spark EV and plug in hybrid Volt.
