A higher performance SRT8 version of the Magnum debuted at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show, based on a concept car that was displayed at the 2003 Los Angeles Auto Show, and it went on sale in 2005 as a 2006 model. Like the 300C SRT8 it featured the new 6.1 liter Hemi engine, which produced 425 horsepower, along with 20 inch wheels, firmer suspension and bigger Brembo brakes. It was named Best New Modern Muscle Car in the 2006 Canadian Car of the Year contest.
