The Dodge Intrepid launched in 1993 as the Dodge member of the three LH models. It was available in two trim levels, base and the sportier, better equipped ES, which added four wheel disc brakes, 16 inch wheels with better tires and stiffer touring suspension damping. All Intrepids received driver and front passenger airbags, air conditioning and a four speed automatic transmission, and the Intrepid replaced the Dodge Monaco as Dodge's largest passenger car in the United States.
