All Dynasty models were equipped with a driver's side airbag starting in 1990. A Bendix anti lock braking system including 4 wheel disc brakes was available on V6 models during those years. For 1990 the Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue and Chrysler Imperial shared the platform with the Dynasty and New Yorker, but used an extended wheelbase chassis, denoted the Chrysler Y platform. The Dynasty was built at Belvidere, Illinois.
