The Dodge Dynasty debuted for the 1988 model year with the Chrysler New Yorker, the first mass produced cars in the world to have a fully multiplexed, fiber optic wiring buss connecting all electronic devices. The Dynasty was offered in Base, Premium and LE trim in 1988, with the Premium offered in 1988 only. The 1988 LE models featured rear headrests, which were deleted for 1989 to 1993. It was fairly popular, though the styling was boxy and conservative.
