Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

Automobiles

The CLK-Class was a series of mid-size luxury coupes and convertibles built by Mercedes-Benz from 1996 to 2010. Its styling came from the E-Class, while the mechanical parts came from the smaller C-Class, and it sat between the SLK-Class and the CL-Class in the range. The first generation, C208 and A208, appeared in 1997 and was based on the W202 C-Class, with more than 233,000 coupes and 115,000 cabriolets built. The second generation, C209 and A209, was launched in 2002 under DaimlerChrysler with a choice of V6 and V8 petrol engines and diesels. In 2010 the name gave way to the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet.
