The Starliner was Ford's two door fastback version of the top Galaxie, on sale for the 1960 and 1961 model years. Characterized by thin roof pillars, fastback styling and implied aerodynamics, it symbolized the Jet Age design of the early 1960s. In 1962 the Galaxie 500 and 500 XL replaced it as the top offering. It shares its name with the 1952 to 1954 Studebaker Starliner. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1960 to 1961).
