The Dodge Mirada was a mid-size rear-wheel-drive coupe that Dodge built and marketed for the 1980 to 1983 model years, on the Chrysler J platform shared with its badge-engineered siblings, the second-generation Chrysler Cordoba and the Imperial. Production reached just under 53,000, and the car stayed largely unchanged through its four years apart from colors and engines. It was marketed as a sporty personal luxury car with limited advertising. A power sunroof or glass T-top could be had for a sportier look, and a vinyl landau or cabriolet roof for a more luxurious one. The base engine was the 3.7 litre slant six, with a 5.2 litre V8 optional.
