Chrysler Valiant Charger

The Chrysler Valiant Charger was a two-door hardtop coupe that Chrysler Australia introduced in 1971 as a short wheelbase version of its Valiant sedan. It arrived within the VH Valiant series and stayed on sale through the VJ, VK and CL series. Powerful versions drew attention, but a programme to fit imported 340 cubic inch V8 engines was aborted after bad press, and Chrysler sold off the remaining engines. It then offered the 360 cubic inch V8 from the Chrysler by Chrysler sedan on the Charger 770 as option E57 from late 1974.
