The Honda Argento Vivo was a concept car designed by Davide Arcangeli at the Pininfarina studio under the Honda brand and presented at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show. It had a very low silhouette with a narrow strip of headlights across the front, a body of aluminium and fibreglass and a hard folding roof, and an interior dominated by leather, aluminium and wood. The concept used a 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine of 190 horsepower driving the rear wheels. It won several industry awards, and the Sultan of Brunei liked it so much that he ordered five cars for his collection, each rebuilt with changes to the suspension, brakes and gearbox and a 7.3 litre Mercedes-AMG V12, at more than two million dollars apiece.
