The BMW Skytop is a two-door, two-seater limited production sports car built by BMW and based on the G15 8 Series, first shown as the BMW Concept Skytop. It was unveiled on 20 May 2024 at the Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza, and on 12 October 2024 BMW announced a limited production run of just 50 units, all of which BMW says were already sold. The concept's design, including the slim light units and small door handles, is unchanged in the production model. Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW Group's head of design, called the design truly unique and exotic and compared it to the Z8 and the 503. The front has a shark-nose with illuminated kidney grilles, and instead of door handles small winglets extend from the silver window trim. It is a targa top roadster whose two-piece leather roof is fitted by hand, stored where the 8 Series rear seats were removed.
