In 1999 automatic headlamps were added to the 300M, and the Handling Group removed the speed limiter. For 1999 the 3.5 liter V6 was rated at 253 horsepower and 255 pound feet of torque, connected to the 42LE four speed automatic transmission with Autostick, which allowed manual selection of gears. Chrysler brought back the famed 300 model name after discontinuing the entire Eagle line after 1998, and the 300M would have been sold as a redesigned Eagle Vision.
