Malibus and all other Chevelles were completely restyled for 1968, with semi fastback rooflines on two door hardtops and wheelbases split to 112 inches on two door models and 116 inches for four door sedans and station wagons. A new 307 cubic inch V8 rated at 200 horsepower replaced the 283 that had been the base V8 since 1964, and a Concours luxury option for Malibu sedans and coupes was new for 1968.
