The Grand Sport model of 2010 was unveiled at the twelfth annual C5 and C6 Corvette Birthday Bash held at the National Corvette Museum. It was the year of the Grand Sport and of the Z06 Carbon Limited Edition, whose sales began in the summer of 2010 as a 2011 model. The C6 line then included the Z06, ZR1, Grand Sport and 427 Convertible, and the coupe kept the removable roof panel while the open version had a power soft top.
