Produced for a single generation, the Corsica utilized the General Motors L platform, developed by Chevrolet in tandem with the Oldsmobile designed N platform in an effort to start over from the X car architecture, and again front wheel drive. For its entire production the Corsica was produced alongside the Beretta by Wilmington Assembly in Delaware and Linden Assembly in New Jersey. Its model years run from 1987 to 1996.
