For 1991 the Corsica received an extensively updated interior with a standard driver's side airbag and cup holders. The Corsica remained a compact front wheel drive sedan on the L platform, produced beside the Beretta at Wilmington and Linden, and it was the car that Pontiac sold as the Tempest in Canada until the Grand Am sedan replaced the Tempest in 1991. The 1991 Corsica was a mid generation refresh in the fifth model year, still on the L platform.
