The 1993 model year brought minimal changes to the Cavalier line, but in Mexico the Cavalier adopted the aesthetics of the Pontiac Sunbird for 1993 and 1994. The Cavaliers sold there featured Sunbird body panels in place of the United States Cavalier panels, and the Mexican Cavalier Z24 took on the appearance of the Pontiac Sunbird GT sold in the United States. In the United States the 1993 Cavalier kept its own panels, unlike its Mexican counterpart, which borrowed those of the Sunbird.
