In 2006 a Chevrolet Caprice based on the Holden WM Caprice was launched in the Middle East, offered in four trims, the LS, LTZ (Statesman), SS and Royale (Caprice), of which the LS and SS had no Australian equivalent. The 3.6 liter LY7 V6 was optional on the LS and LTZ, and the 6.0 liter L98 V8 was available for the whole range. In 2011 the V6 engine was dropped. The Middle Eastern Caprice shared its front bumper with the Statesman, while the LS lacked the Statesman fog lights found on the LTZ and Royale.
