The 1991 model year saw major interior updates for the Beretta, including a new dashboard and center console and the addition of a driver's side airbag. Beginning in 1991 the 3.1 liter V6 could be had as an option on the GTZ, but only with a three speed automatic transmission, which increased the zero to 60 time to about 9 seconds. The 1991 Beretta was the fifth model year, with a new dash and an airbag, assembled in Delaware and New Jersey.
