The Beretta was produced from 1987, a coupe that together with the four door Corsica was the successor to the Chevrolet Citation. It shared the front wheel drive L platform with the Corsica, which replaced the X body platform, and was slotted between the Cavalier and the Lumina and Monte Carlo coupes. The base and CL models were sold from 1987 to 1996. The first Beretta of 1987 was built at Wilmington and Linden beside the Corsica sedan.
