In April 2022 BMW unveiled a revised X7, which entered production in July and was launched the following month. The major changes were a heavily revised front end with new horizontally split headlight units, also fitted to the new 7 Series and i7, and a curved widescreen dashboard in an otherwise unchanged interior. All vehicles now had a mild hybrid powertrain. The X7 is built at Greer in South Carolina.
