The G06 is the third X6, unveiled on 3 July 2019 with more aggressive bodywork and a more angular kidney grille that could be illuminated as an option, a first for BMW. Sales began in November 2019, the X6 M F96 and X6 M Competition were revealed on 1 October 2019, and a facelift in 2023 made M Sport trim standard. It is built at Greer with the X5. Its model years run from 2019 to 2026. It is built on the same platform as the X5.
