In 2022 the G06 X6 was in its third year, a sports activity coupe built with the X5 at Greer in South Carolina, and sold with the xDrive40i, xDrive40d, the M60i and the X6 M Competition. Assembly operations in Russia by Avtotor were halted in 2022 after BMW terminated its partnership with the company following the invasion of Ukraine. The third generation had been revealed in 2019 and sold from November that year.
