In 2020 a mild hybrid option was added to the xDrive40d diesel engine of the G06 X6, and the range was made up of the xDrive40i, xDrive40d and the M60i models, with the X6 M non Competition model dropped. The third generation X6 was in its first full year, built at Greer alongside the X5 with which it shares its platform. The 2020 range was thus the M60i, xDrive40i and the xDrive40d diesel with the mild hybrid system, as the X6 M cars joined.
