The E71 X6 ended its run in 2014, after the second generation F16 was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 2014 with sales in most markets commencing by the end of the year. The first generation had been in production since December 2007 at Greer, and the X6 M and ActiveHybrid versions were its two special models in the range. The E71 was thus on sale for about six and a half years, a long run for a coupe style crossover.
