In 2024 the G02 X4 was in its penultimate model year, as BMW had indicated that 2025 would be the last. The car was a compact luxury crossover with the roofline of a traditional two door coupe, widely considered a coupe version of the X3, and it was built at Spartanburg in the United States. The production run of the nameplate from 2014 would end the following year. It was the second to last model year of the whole line.
