For 2021 all engines of the 6 Series Gran Turismo were 48 volt mild hybrids, assisted with a belt alternator starter, following the facelift of 2020. The G32 continued to be sold as a five door liftback executive car in Europe and Asia, with no further updates and with its replacement not yet decided at BMW. The 2021 model year thus marked the move of the whole range of engines to mild hybrid power, a change started with the facelift of 2020.
