In 2016 the 6 Series was in its sixth year, with the facelifted F12 convertible, F13 coupe and F06 Gran Coupe on sale. The 1 Series M Coupe had been replaced by the M2 in 2016, and the 6 Series continued to sit at the top of the BMW coupe and convertible range, between the 4 Series and the 8 Series that was to come in 2018. The 6 Series was offered as convertible, coupe and Gran Coupe, and the Gran Turismo was yet to come.
