Since 2008 diesel engines have been included in the 6 Series range, a development for the E63 and E64 coming with the 635d. The facelifted 6 Series was in its first full model year, with the 650i V8, the 630i and the M6, still built at Dingolfing. The coupe and convertible continued to be sold in much of the world. Diesel power for the 6 Series came with the 635d introduced in 2008. The facelift cars, called LCI, were sold as 2008 models.
