The 2014 model year brought the facelifted F10 into its first full year, and BMW introduced a Competition Package version of the M5 with power raised to 600 PS. The 530Le plug in hybrid long wheelbase model for China was unveiled at the 2014 Guangzhou auto show. The 5 Series was still BMW's most important executive car. The F10 had been on sale since 2010 and the facelift had been in production since July 2013, so this was the mature stage of the car.
