In 2009 the iDrive system was upgraded from the first generation CCC interface to the newer CIC interface, with hard disk storage and a revised menu. The F07 Gran Turismo began production in September, the first of the new F series cars, overlapping with the E60, which was in its last full year of production. The E60 saloon and Touring continued through 2009. The F10 saloon, unveiled in Munich in November 2009, was due to replace the E60 saloon in early 2010.
