2025 was the fifth full model year of the G22 4 Series, which was the second generation of the series created in 2013 when BMW spun off the coupe and convertible models of the 3 Series. The model line included the coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe, and the i4 electric liftback based on the Gran Coupe continued alongside. The M4 completed the range as the high performance version, produced for the 4 Series since the F82 of 2014.
