2017 was a mid cycle year for the F30 3 Series, which had been produced since October 2011 and still sold in sedan, Touring and Gran Turismo forms around the world. Production took place in Munich and Regensburg in Germany, at Rosslyn in South Africa, in India, in China and in Brazil, which made it one of BMW's most widely produced cars. The G20 successor was still due in 2018. The 330e iPerformance plug in hybrid was sold alongside the engines of the 2015 facelift.
