1992 Austin Maestro

Automobiles

In 1992 the 81 bhp high revving Rover MDi, Perkins Prima, turbo diesel unit from the Montego was launched in the now reduced Maestro range, after the launch of the Rover 200 and 400, as a Clubman with steel bumpers or a DLX with plastic bumpers. The Maestro of 1992 was built at Oxford for the Rover Group. The Maestro range was by then much reduced from its first form, with the Rover 200 series above it. It was a cheaper car at the end of its life.
