The A35 estate car version continued until 1962, three years after the passenger cars had been replaced by the A40 Farina, while the A35 van continued until 1968. The Austin A35 had been introduced in 1956 to replace the highly successful A30, and about 280,897 A35s of all types would be produced, the estate car among them. The A35 estate was dropped from the range that year. The van lasted until 1968.
